jake and kristina {sneak peek!}

I have the coolest family in the world...made obvious by the fact that this girl here is joining the family, and marrying my cousin in June. I mean seriously. The dress is her grandmothers, the camera is vintage (and Canon!)...can you get any cooler?! So Kristina, welcome welcome welcome to the fam! :)

Much more coming soon. Couldn't resist sharing the deliciousness of this photo:

kiki & ken {engaged}

 When Ken & Kiki first contacted me about their wedding photography, I KNEW I would love working with them. Both creatives. Both graphic designers. Both completely talented. Yes, I knew I would love working with them. The day of their engagement session came...and it was COLD! But we made up for it by goofing off and laughing at just about everything (including me backing my precious 4runner into a telephone pole guide wire...dang it). Scott came along to shoot with me, and it felt like we were all on a double date...so much fun. I think we all found about a million things we had in common. :)

 {below, left} Photo inspired by my lovely friend Erin of ee photography. Here's to you, friend!

{below, top left} Check out how long that scarf is! Ken educated Scott and I on it's history. Anyone know what it's from? Anyone?

K&K, we had so much fun with you two. I think you guys are going to be those people who just have way too much fun in marriage. Your humor with each other is so refreshing and awesome! Thanks for being amazing, braving the cold, and running out into that field again...and again...and again. :) Can't wait for your wedding!

a splendid sneak peek {engagements}

Dear me, what a week it's been! So many exciting things have been happening in my life lately. Christmas has come early for me: I've added yet another camera to the Caroline Joy Photography family (so happy!), purchased new lenses, pocket wizards, and an ever so amazing Think Tank International (like a piece of rolling luggage, only made precisely for camera equipment!). I'm also super excited about a new album option I've added to my wedding collections...oh it's just so fun and fresh! Can't wait to get it! Photos of all these lovely things will be coming soon. :)

Also, I'm about to become an aunt! I really cannot wait for that phone call from my brother and sis-in-law. You know, the "we're in labor!" phone call. :) I will be bookin' it to Dallas as soon as it happens.

This weekend will also mark the beginning of the holidays, as I'll be decorating for Christmas AND going to see the Nutcracker ballet. In case you don't know, ballet is one of my secret dreams. I danced all through my childhood, and still have this dream of being a ballerina one day........

Anyway.

You'll have to wait for the full blog post about this cute couple, but here are a few images to tide you over. These look a little different because they're in my album format. That new album option I mentioned? I designed this session into the sample album!
